What does The City of Evansville accept for recycling?

Newspapers and Inserts
Please stack loose, or in brown paper bag, and keep separate from household mixed paper.

Aluminum and Metal Cans
Includes all food and beverage cans.  No need to remove labels. "Step on it" to save space in bin.

Clear and Colored Plastic
PETE #1 and HDPE #2 smallneck bottles only.  Includes milk jugs, 2- and 3- liter soft drink bottles, colored plastic bottles (fabric softener, shampoo, detergent, bleach) Please rinse and remove caps. "Step on it" to save space.

Corrugated Cardboard 
Flat pieces only no larger than 18" x 12." Take large cardboard containers to drop-off centers.

Mixed Paper
Place in brown paper bags, separate from newspapers.  Includes junk mail, catalogs, magazines, envelopes, wrapping paper, cards, phone books, copier paper, computer paper, stationery, gift boxes, dry food boxes.  No need to remove labels, staples or paper clips.
